Suites not rooms. What are these?
We have spacious apartments that can be used either for fully catered holidays (suites) or self-catering (apartments). All are self contained with their own kitchen and bathroom. Some have a separate bedroom. Winter holidays are always catered. Summer holidays can be catered (3 night minimum) or self-catered (5 night minimum).

How much space is there in an suite?
Suites are around 35 sq m or 375 sq feet (they vary). They are usually for just two people but there is enough space for 4 full-size beds.

Do I need a Credit Card to make an online reservation?
Yes, but you can also email us, phone us or send us a message via the website.

What details do you keep from my Credit Card?
None, in fact we don’t even receive any details of your card. We only know that you have a valid card and that you have paid.

How much money are you taking when I reserve online?
We offer you the choice between paying in installments (if booked far enough ahead) or all at one time. If you reserve offline though email or by phoning, we take a 25% deposit over the phone when you book your accommodation. The balance will be due 6 weeks before you arrive. If booking less than 6 weeks before arrival then 100% is taken.

What are my payment options for the accommodation?
You can pay the deposit and balance by Credit/Debit Card over the phone or by Credit/Debit Card on our site. If you want to pay by bank transfer, please contact us for details.

What about extras I might buy when I am staying with you?
You can pay by Credit/Debit Card or Cash when you leave.

Are there any other expenses once I arrive?
Although we will provide you with generous meals, when catered, you may want to buy extras such as packed lunches or extra drinks (see below). All services are provided.

How do I book a holiday?
If your party is of 2 adults (with up to 2 children under 14), the easiest way is online. You can book multiple suites at the same time if there are several couples. You can also phone on +33 4 76 80 36 58 or email on info@www.lechateaudoz.com or complete the form here:

What about meals?
In winter we provide a breakfast buffet with a cooked option, tea and cakes in the afternoon and a three course meal with wine in the evening. In the summer we provide a breakfast buffet with a cooked option, a recovery meal in the afternoon (on request) and a three course meal in the evening. If you are self-catering/B&B you can also book meals in advance.

What about childrens meals?
In the winter children under 14 are fed a separate menu earlier in the evening. In the summer, unless you request earlier childrens meals, they will eat smaller portions at the same time as the adults.

What age are children allowed to eat in the evening with adults?
In the winter we assume children under 14 will eat the earlier childrens menu and those over will eat with the adults.

I am a vegetarian/gluten free/special diet, will there be anything for me to eat?
Yes, we have special vegetarian, gluten free and other special diet menus. Please talk to us when you book.

What else is there to do apart from Skiing in winter and Cycling in summer?
On the mountain you can walk, snowshoe (winter), have lunch in a mountain restaurant or just take a ride up to the top and enjoy the view from 3330m. Otherwise there are swimming pools and shops in the resort and there are other towns and villages to visit close by. There are many summer activites to participate in. Contact us for more details.

What about ski equipment, passes, lessons etc. and renting bikes in the summer?
We will help you arrange the rental of skis/boards, boots, passes and lessons. You can store your skis/boots in the shop right by the lifts or bring them back to our heated ski/boot room. We can also arrange bike rental for you to pick up at Le Château.

What about children’s activities?
There are lots of activities for children. Some are organized by the Tourist Office and others are available around the region. Just ask us and we will tell you where to find it.
